IGS Schreiner representing Germany and Poland in the New Silk Road Network is delighted to announce the groups expansion into temperature-controlled warehouse and achieving key certification. A fully owned subsidiary of IGS Logistics Group, Krohn & Schröder GmbH, has started the year strong by achieving significant milestones in its warehousing and logistics operations. The company successfully renewed the existing IFS Logistics certification at its Vollhöfner Weiden warehouse and secured the certification for the first time at its Finkenwerder Weg site, both located in Hamburg.

This development marks a major advancement for Krohn & Schröder’s Food Logistics division, highlighting its commitment to the highest standards of quality and food safety. Henning Eggers, Head of Sales of IGS, expressed pride in the company’s achievements, crediting the dedication of the entire team for making the certifications possible. With over 90,000 square meters of modern warehouse and distribution space along with extensive value-added services, Krohn & Schröder is well positioned to meet the evolving demands of food logistics.
In a complementary move, Krohn & Schröder has expanded its cold storage capabilities at the Finkenwerder Weg site by installing a state-of-the-art refrigeration system. This enhancement allows the company to offer temperature-controlled storage facilities ranging from 14 to 18 degrees Celsius, catering specifically to temperature-sensitive products like coffee, wine, chocolate, confectionery, and cereals. This upgrade not only supports optimal preservation of product quality but also enhances flexibility for both short- and long-term customer storage needs.
