Earlier this year, CSC Transport Limited, a member of New Silk Road Network (NSRN) conducted a bulk service between the from the Port of Shanghai, China to Port of Mumbai, in India. The cargo was picked up from Jiangyin, which is located at 150 kms from Shanghai. The cargo contained large steel plates that were moved via 9 trucks from Jiangyin to the Port of Shanghai on the same day. The next day, the shipment underwent customs clearance and cleared all requirements. The port handling was also conducted by CSC, where the large metal plates were loaded on to the vessel. There were 47 steel plates, with a total weight of 243 tons. The shipment was valued at more than 200,000 USD, which CSC handled quite adeptly. It arrived at the destination in 9 days via sea freight.

CSC reported that while arranging for the trucks there was a slight challenge despite due to the size of the shipment and the proximity to Chinese New Year. The whole process was conducted smoothly and swiftly, with the safe delivery of cargo to its destination. CSC Transport Limited was started in 2005 in Shenzhen with offices all over China.
